NEXT Production’s The VP Contest (“Contest”) and The College Sales Contest and the National Online Contest are three separate sales and marketing contest events that are either held on a live city by city basis or in a national online format. The Contest’s are open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are nineteen (19) years of age or older. Employees of 321 Entertainment, Premier Pigments, American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics AIIC, Alliance for Safe Practice, NEXT Productions, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, public relations and marketing agencies, and their immediate family members (defined for these purposes as including parents, spouses, children, siblings, grandparents and each of their respective spouses) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above, are NOT eligible to enter or win. By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Contest judges, which are binding and final.

CONTEST STRUCTURE AND RULES:

To enter, contestants must EITHER send their resume OR fill out and submit an application form either online, by mail or at an in-person audition.(see how to enter below). Individuals with or without sales and marketing experience are invited to apply and audition. Employed or unemployed, being in the contest full-time or part-time, entrepreneurs, sales people, business owners, entertainers, no sales experience, fresh out of college or out of retirement…, all are welcome. Your performance in the interview, audition and contest will dictate your success. There is no fee to enter or participate in the VP, Sales, College Sales or National Online contest. Our mission is to help provide jobs for people, allow sales and marketing professionals to earn monies while interviewing and working and identify great sales and marketing talent while stimulating revenue for businesses and the economy.

The VP Contest

The VP Contest is a high-level sales contest featuring sales and marketing contestants who will compete in a seven week sales format to earn or win a $100,000 VP Sales position and $7,000 cash prize, 2nd-3rd place cash prizes, sales/marketing bonuses, job interviews and/or publicity and exposure. Sixteen contestants will be chosen in the city from the applicants and auditions received. Each new week for the first 2 weeks the contestants are selling and marketing a different company’s product or service. In addition, the contestants will continue to sell the products from the previous week to build up their cumulative sales. The true test of a VP of Sales is how good they are with fiver different products, services and venues. One week the contestant may be selling a B2B solution, the next week a consumer product through retail or distributors, the next week a viral marketing campaign etc. Products and services sold by the contestants are exciting and may come from both large and small companies. In addition, some of the sales will earn the contestant’s commissions during the contest, depending on the client agreements.

Our format is similar to popular reality programs such as the Bachelor™ and American Idol™ and parts of the contest have been filmed for a reality TV pilot (in some cities)(if you are ever filmed, you can choose not to have footage shown for the pilot). every week after the first two weeks a group of contestants will be eliminated from the contest, based on the judging criteria. The contestant eliminations per week will be in the following format

  • Week 1 16 contestants (no eliminations after week 1)

  • Week 2 end 16 contestants (no contestants eliminated)

  • Week 3 end 14 contestants (two contestants eliminated)

  • Week 4 end 12 contestants (two contestants eliminated)

  • Week 5 12 contestants (no elimination)

  • Week 6 12 contestants (no elimination)

  • Week 7 (sales continue till 5pm PST Friday of week 7- Winners announced the following week )

The winner of each VP Contest or National Online Contest will win a $7,000 cash prize, be eligible to compete for the $100,000 per year position and be given job interviews with NEXT Productions and three of the sponsoring companies, and if chosen and accepted, may start employment within two weeks after the contest.Winners as well as the other contestantss may also receive job offers from some of our sponsoring companies.

All candidates and applicants for the VP Contest will be considered. Contestants will be chosen based on their past qualifications, their audition/interview or persuasive argument, their personality and their desire. The sixteen contestants chosen will be announced by a given date preceding Week 1 of the contest. All contestants will be required to meet for a two hour contest/program orientation and product training on a day preceding the start of Week 1. See Contest/City Schedule page.

After the orientation of week 1, the contestants will sell two sponsor company’s products/services for two weeks.

At the end of week 3, the sixteen contestants will appear in the conference room with the judges. After giving evaluations and kudos to performers, two of the sixteen contestants will be eliminated from the contest. Exited contestants will go through an exit interview. There will be some opportunities for eliminated contestants to continue sales relationships with either NEXT Productions or the client companies if both parties are in agreement. After the conference room meeting, the remaining contestants will receive one-two hours training and orientation on the new product/service from another company and in addition to the week 1 products, contestants will sell the week 3 product/service.

Weeks 3 and 4 consists of contestants learning new products and then using sales time and productivity to do well with the new client company as well the prior companies products and sales. At the end of weeks 3 and 4, two contestants will be eliminated. At the end of week 5 no contestants will be eliminated and a new company’s product/service will be introduced. In Weeks 5, 6 and 7 the contestants will push to accumulate their final sales on all products and services. All contestants final sales figures will be turned in by 5pm on Friday of week 7. On Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week, the final conference room meeting will take place, feedback will be given and the top 5 prize winners and Grand Prize winner will be announced.

The College Sales Contest

The College Sales Contest is a separate sales contest that features 15 contestants who will compete in a seven week sales and marketing format to earn or win a $5,000 cash first prize , 2nd-3rd place cash prizes, job interviews and publicity and exposure. The College Sales Contest was designed with an emphasis for college students, college graduates and sales and marketing professionals with less than eight years experience to compete for cash prizes, commissions, media exposure and job interviews. The Sales Contest has also been referred to as The Yeppie Contest (Y.E.P  Young Enterprising Professionals).

Unlike the VP Contest, no contestant is eliminated each week and there are no conference room elimination meetings. Every week contestants are given feedback about their sales and standings. For the first four weeks contestants are given training on a new product/service from a new company. Product training is done through online video and training materials are emailed and downloaded. Sales continue till 2pm PST Wednesday of week 7. At the end of 7 weeks the top 10 salespeople will be announced and invited to the conference room announcement of the top 5 contestants and winners.

HOW TO ENTER:

To apply to be a contestant in a given city and contest go to www.thevpcontest.com or www.thesalescontest.com and either 1) fill out the online application form or 2) send your resume to info@thevp.net or 3) attend a live audition and casting call at the hotel and city that your contest is in. Whether you choose option 1, 2 or 3 in your contestant audition, TELL US WHY YOU SHOULD BE IN THE VP OR SALES CONTEST. You can send us a MySpace or Facebook link, you may include a resume, you can link us to or send us a compelling video about you OR show up in person and WOW us in person with who you are and why you should be in this contest! In person contestant auditions locations, dates and times will be listed in the City/Schedule link. Be as creative as you want to get in the contest and win, place in the top 5 or get job interviews in this contest. All forms and materials submitted must be in English. There is no fee to apply, audition or be in The VP Contest or The Sales Contest.

Any material that you provide to NEXT Productions (including DVD’s, CD’s, Videos, photographs, resumes etc.) shall remain the sole property of NEXT Productions and not be returned.

JUDGING:

All entries will be judged by a panel of sponsor judges, and scores will be tallied based on the following judgment criteria:

  1. How you did overall in the contest on total sales (measured by both number of accounts opened and total sales revenue) This includes you, any alliances/partnerships you form or reps/distributors you manage.

  2. How you did week by week in sales/marketing/branding with each new product and company introduced. Contestant must demonstrate results with each sponsor.

  3. Other significant marketing or creative impact of your sales and marketing efforts (i.e. generated local or national publicity, signed up 5 distributors, facilitated on key major account , etc)

Next Productions reserves the right to final judgment regarding selection of grand-prize and other winners. The lead judge will be Ken Gora, CEO of Next Productions. In addition, in each city a celebrity judge from that city may be involved in the judging. The celebrity judge of each city is a local successful business owner, athlete or entertainer. The celebrity judge will be part of the judging process and the conference room termination process.

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:

Grand-prize winner and other prize winners from both contests will be notified within 7 days of the last day of their specific contest The Sales Contest prize winners will be asked to attend the VP Contest program to receive their acknowledgement of their prize and/or interviews. Within seven (7) days of notification, each winner must return a signed Affidavit of Eligibility and Prize Acceptance. If not returned within such seven (7) days, disqualification may result and the runner-up for that prize may be offered the prize. Acceptance of prize gives permission to the Sponsor to use the winner(s)’s name and/or likeness in future promotional material without further compensation, unless prohibited by law or if you had requested in writing before the contest that your name, photo or likeness not be revealed.

PRIZES

The Grand cash prize and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the VP Contest and the College Sales Contest will remain consistent in all cities with the exception that NEXT Productions reserves the right to increase the amount of prize money paid out All final prizes and amounts will be announced in the city/schedule link on the website before contestant applications for that city are taken. All other prizes in the VP Contest and the College Sales Contest will vary from city to city and contest to contest depending on revenue from sponsors and number of sales openings. The number of sales openings in each city and interviews with companies will vary from city to city and be announced before the start of each contest. Cash prizes will be paid by NEXT Productions within thirty days of contest completion. Final awards of cash prizes and prize ranking is subject to verification and audit of sales and accounts with both the contestant and company sponsors and will occur within the thirty day period after that contest has ended. Payment of cash prizes, final prize ranking and awards may be delayed further than the 30 day period if unforeseen conditions or sponsor audits deem more time is needed. Any discrepancies in contestant sales claims and sponsor sales records will be addressed and contestants will be notified by electronic or regular mail as to any changes in their award or prize status.

VP CONTEST

Grand Prize : $7,000 cash prize, job interview with Next Productions, qualifies to compete for the $100,000 salaried position with Next Productions, job interviews with 3 sponsoring companies

2nd Prize : $4,000 cash prize and job interviews/offers with sponsor companies

3rd Prize: $3,000 cash prize

*Note: The Grand Prize of $100,000 VP Sales and Marketing position will be with Next Productions unless designated differently for that city. As a VP Sales for Next Productions you will have responisbility for sales and marketing activities for a two to ten state region. You also will have core responsibilities for alliances, strategic partner relationships and major account relationships on a national level.

REALITY TV

The VP Contest is also in certain locations being filmed as a Reality TV Pilot program. This pilot TV program is a separate contest and is being marketed to both national, regional and local TV markets and distribution. The top 3 finalists in any contest (VP, Online or College) are invited to audition with the producers to be featured on the TV pilot and program as representing America's top sales and marketing professionals. Over $150,000 in cash or cash prizes will be awarded to the winner of the television VP Contest. Contestants (in some cities) in the VP Contest will not be required to have footage filmed of them and in certain cities may be asked to sign a release form that gives Next Productions permission to use contestants name and/or likeness/image, for filming and in future promotional material without further compensation, unless prohibited by law . Contestants in the VP Contest who do not wish their name and/or likeness/image to be revealed either in filming or in promotional materials , can submit in writing a request before the contest begins. NEXT Productions plans to film (in some cities) components of the casting auditions, the conference room meetings, one on one contestant interviews and the product trainings. If the TV Pilot is acquired for network television or distribution, than contestants will be notified . The current footage may then be utilized or contestants may be asked if they want to be involved in the filming of a National Reality TV program built on this model.

The Sales Contest will not be filmed in any city and will have no Reality TV component.

GENERAL RULES:

Contest is void where prohibited by law; all federal, local and state laws and regulations apply. During the contest, contestants will be selling and/or representing different companies products/services in order to win or place well in the contest. Contestants may not make false claims or misrepresent the companies products/services in any way and any misrepresentation could lead to disqualification from the contest. The contestants may choose to recruit or manage others (friends, distributors, agents, colleagues etc) hereby referred to as affiliates, to achieve sales results. Those affiliates are held responsible to the ethics and rules of the contest and any violation or misrepresentation by the affiliates may result in the disqualification of the contestant. Next Productions reserves the right to disqualify any contestant that violates these rules or reflects negatively on the contest, Next Productions or its sponsors or alliances. By entering this Contest, all entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and Contest and the judge’s decisions. Next Productions is not responsible for any mail or technological problems associated with entering the contest or company sponsor/client mishaps, including but not limited to issues with mail delivery, e-mail and/or malfunctions associated with telephones, cell phones, client/sponsor order and sales revenue assessment, computers or servers. Contestants must qualify for prize winnings and/or position by having the minimum sales or branding revenue during or within 30 days after the contest ends of $3,000 (for 3rd place) $5,000 (for 2nd place) and revenue/branding/potential revenue exceeding the 2nd place winner (for Grand Prize). Contestants that do not follow all stated guidelines will not be eligible to win and no award or prize would be given. NEXT Productions will not be responsible for any late or lost entries. By participating, entrants assume all liability for any injury or damages caused, or claimed to be caused, by participating in this Contest. Entrants agree (for themselves and for entrants' heirs, executors, and administrators) that NEXT Productions, Premier Pigments, Warner Brothers Inc, 321 Entertainment and Gorizon and their public relations and marketing agencies and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, related and affiliated companies and each of their representatives, employees, agents, independent producers, contractors, suppliers, client companies, product sponsors, advertisers, licensees, successors and assigns (“Released Parties”) (A) shall not be responsible or liable for, and are hereby released from, any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity, or from contestants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize, and (B) have not made any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any prize, including, without limitation, to such prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Further entrants agree (for themselves and for entrants’ heirs, executors, and administrators) to release and indemnify the Released Parties from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Contest and to be bound by these Official Rules and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error therein or in the Contest itself, and to be bound by all decisions of NEXT Productions, which are binding and final. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disqualification from the Contest at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Grand-prize winner may be subject to a background check. The VP Contest and The Sales Contest in each city are produced by NEXT Productions. Premier Pigments, American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics AIIC, Alliance for Safe Practice, Warner Brothers Inc, 321 Entertainment and Gorizon are not sponsors or producers or owners of the VP Contest and the Sales Contest Production. Gorizon and Premier Pigments may be involved in the contest for product placement or advertising or granting prizes. The California court (federal and state) will have sole jurisdiction of any controversies regarding the Contest. The laws of the state of California will govern the Contest. By entering the contest, entrants waive any and all objections to jurisdiction and hereby submit to the venue of those courts within California. All claims, actions, proceedings or litigation brought by any party arising under or concerning, referencing or relating to these Official Rules shall be instituted and prosecuted exclusively within the Federal and State courts of California.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT:

For the name of the winner and/or a copy of the Official Rules, visit www.thevpcontest.com. The winner’s name will be posted on or around 5 days following the verification of winner and the awarding of prizes after the 30 day audit period. The exception is if the winner wishes to remain confidential for employment or personal reasons. You may also request a copy of the Rules or the name of the winner by sending a self-addressed, stamped #10 business-size envelope to: ATTN: NEXT Productions 3525 Del Mar Heights Rd # 712 San Diego, CA. 92130. Indicate “Rules” and/or “Winner’s Name,” as appropriate, on the front of the outer mailing envelope, in the lower left-hand corner. Mailed requests must be received by two weeks following the end of the contest.
