Why are there three contests, the VP Contest, the National Online Sales Contest and The Sales Contest?
The VP Contest is for individuals who on a part-time or full time basis can sell for seven weeks different company's products and demonstrate that they are a top level sales and marketing guru. The grand prize is job interviews with three of our sponsoring companies, an interview for a sales/marketing position with Next Productions, qualifying to compete for a $100,000 per year sales position plus a $7,000 cash prize. There are also other cash prizes and job interviews given to contestants in the top 3. In addition all sales and marketing contestants are paid both marketing bonuses/incentives and sales commissions for sales and results they produce during the contest. Check the schedule page for information and location of the VP Contest. The National Sales Contest was developed for people who could not wait for the VP Contest to come to their city or did not live in a city or state where a contest was being held. Now any sales and marketing contestant can participate regardless of where they live. The College Sales Contest offers applicants with eight years experience or less a chance to compete for cash prizes and sales/marketing positions, except not against the top tier VP candidate level. The College Sales Contest is structured for recent college graduates, college students or sales professional with less than eight years experience. In some cities there are specific College Sales Contests. The live city VP Contests have 16 contestants, the Nationwide Online Sales Contest also has 16 participants competing. The Nationwide Contest winner will have the same prize options as the "live" VP Contest winners, including the $7,000 cash prize along with sponsor interviews, other cash prizes and bonuses and incentives.
How does the VP Contest or Sales Contest generate sales revenue and branding for any business that wants to participate ?
The long answer is in the tab that says SPONSORS. The short answer is that by your business selecting to participate in a live city VP Contest or Online Contest, you get 16 highly motivated and skilled sales and marketing professionals selling and branding your products/services for a period of 7 to 4 weeks. They are implementing a combination of business development strategies, sales calls, marketing programs, social media processes AND connecting with decision makers that they have direct access to about your product or service. This phenomena is called CROWDSELLING, and it is based that a group of 16 professionals will impact a business, branding and sales revenue through their expertise and contacts. The sales and marketing contestants may sell on a local or national landscape AND it is also an effective recruiting tool for identifying and hiring top performers.
What type of people will apply to be contestants?
Really all types and from all demographics. Anyone who thinks they can sell or market something and would like to demonstrate that. Besides your marketing and sales experience, it is your desire, your work ethic and the power of your commitment and word that will help you win our contest. It seems that our contestants fall into six main categories:
- Employed. Individuals who are currently employed, doing well but feel they have the time in their current position to take 5 or 6 weeks and have a chance to win $7,000 or other cash prizes. Working part-time during the day, some nights or weekends...they feel that their efforts might get them extra money and possibly some fame. (We can hide your identity during the contest if you prefer.) Some people in the real estate, mortgage industry, commissioned sales, work retail or weekends, have long sales cycle in their current profession, etc. are some examples.
- Unemployed. If you are not working or having trouble landing interviews or are between interviews, here is a great chance to win a $100,000 job or $7,000 cash or $4,000 cash in a few weeks. Plus the media coverage, company exposure and job interviews you get can be helpful, and the commissions the companies pay on your sales during the contest. Make money instead of waiting at home.
- Business owner. You are self-employed, you manage your time well, and perhaps for five or six weeks the extra $7,000 or $4,000 fits well. Plus, the exposure and branding of your skills and business to the media may be desirable.
- Personal/Business coaches, speakers, consultants, marketing gurus etc. You've made your living telling other people how to be performers. Now's your chance to compete among others, claim the prize and enjoy all the media publicity and leads as people want to hire you.
- Dissatisfied Worker. You have a job. And it's ok. You get a paycheck. But an opportunity to lead the field, win the contest and be the VP of Sales for a dynamic, thriving cutting-edge company. Not to mention the other cash prizes and interview opportunities.
- College Student/Recent graduate. You want some great experience. You want a great job or some great interviews. earn some fast cash. Just perform.....make us go WOW at the auditions and do well in the contest.
- Retired/Semi-retired/Stay at home Mom or Dad. What a great opportunity to earn some commissions or earn some cash prizes.
How much of my day or week do I have to devote to the contest?
That really depends on you and how much time you have and are willing to devote to winning or placing well in the contest. One can certainly say that your chances to win or do well increase as you put more time. However some of our contestants skill level or realm of contacts may be so good, that they can do in 25 hours a week what someone else does in 40. Some contestants may see this is an opportunity that 3 hours a day, some nights and some weekends, they can drive sales and marketing efforts more than a fulll time person. Some individuals may know where and how to strategically set up distributors and affiliates and friends to help them with their sales and marketing activities so that they are really just managing a sales team and working on key accounts. Speaking of key accounts, some contestants may use a roadmap of strategically calling on large accounts for maximum sales/marketing efforts, and requiring less time. Our corporate clients and sponsors will be watching the sales results of contestants so it does behoove contestants to do as much as they can.
Do you mean I can participate in this contest on a part-time or full time basis?
Yes. The only requirements in the VP Contest are that if you are selected to be a contestant that you live within a reasonable radius of the city that the contest is held in, and that you are available to attend one meeting per week, near the end of the week for four of the seven weeks. The National Online Sales Contest has three online product training meetings, at the beginning of each of the first four weeks. A real estate broker may do this when they are not showing houses, the owner of a business may devote time to this for six weeks to win prizes or gain publicity for himself or his company while key employees take care of day to day operations, a stay at home Mom or Dad may take their children to school, work 5 hours in the contest every day and then get the children. Some unemployed individuals may do this between job interviews, targeting the $100k prize, other cash prizes and interviews.
